Child friendly warm comfortable unit set one section back from Kawhia Harbour in a peaceful garden setting. A lovely 5 min walk to Kawhia CBD where you find the Rusty Snapper Cafe, Museum, fish and chip shop, local hotel, boating and sports clubs and petrol station. Wharf fishing, surf casting, harbour fishing and charter boats can cover fishing for all tastes.
Soak in Te Puia springs on Ocean Beach two hour either side of low tide or just enjoy a sun set over the Tasman sea.
Kayak hire can be arranged.
The local 9 hole golf course is 5 min drive and has some stunning views of the area.
Lovely harbour side walks or a 10 min drive to Aotea Harbour for a walk along the sand dunes or a long one around to Kawhia along Ocean Beach
Waitomo is 1-5 hr drive to the caves , along the way are the Marakopa Falls, PiriPiri Caves and the Natural Bridge. Return back through Otorohanga for the Kiwi House and Bird House.
1 hr north is Raglan with some metal road a must see on the way is the Bridle Veil Falls.
